Each member is rewarded for further promoting and referring others to the MicroSTAR program.
Personal letter to all musicians:
If you are considering a possible distribution deal, you need to read this letter.
I was a musician, possibly just like yourself, touring for 10 years with a band called “Churko!” We had some good times and some bad times. We played 6 nights a week in clubs, touring across the country and steadily worked our way up the payscale to being one of the top paid country-rock “bar bands”. We played cover tunes to pay the bills but always slipped in as many originals as possible. We worked, scrimped, saved and sold t-shirts until we had enough money to get into the best recording studio that we could afford. Is any of this sounding familiar yet?
But after you get that recording, what’s next? How do you promote it? How do you get radio play? Where can you sell your CD? How do you get a distribution deal? How can you get funding for your next recording project? Who are the reputable quality studios, engineers, and producers?
I am writing this to tell you that MicroSTAR can answer all of these questions. The current music industry has not been working for over 90% of the artists and bands out there.
A wise man once said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.” MicroSTAR has created a new way – a better way. MicroSTAR has the system that is beginning to revolutionize the music industry. The time for change is now.
MicroSTAR's goal is to help both established and up-and-coming bands/artists get on the road to success. This is why I support the management team at MicroSTAR. I have walked the path you are now on – let MicroSTAR help make your journey much smoother. Contact Grant anytime to discuss your options.

About MicroSTAR
MicroSTAR was established in 2006 by Founder and President, Dwight G. Ryder, a 25 year veteran in the fields of marketing and distribution. The company is quickly growing from a locally-focused Calgary independent distributor to an internationally recognized music and movie distribution & development company.
The next few years will bring about massive growth and evolution as MicroSTAR develops into a company attuned to the unique needs of emerging songwriters, musicians and movie producers. Since most of the music and movie industry is founded on the concept of promoting "hand-picked" artists, MicroSTAR's early decision was to build a company supporting the many talented yet unrecognized artists.
MicroSTAR is honored to serve in the future development process of emerging artists who wish to commit to moving forward in their choice of part-time or full-time music/movie careers.
Randy Moore
Randy Moore of Grimsby Ontario is becoming one of the most sought out record producers in Canada. Involved in the music industry for many years, artists as far as Chicago, Missouri, Ohio, and Oklahoma are coming up from the U.S. just to get a chance to work with him. And it is with good reason...
Randy's musical career started in '77 when he wrote, produced and was part of a band called "Fourplay". His formal education in engineering and technology along with his creative talents helped launch the start of a wonderful career. Although his direction started as a musician, things would soon change for Randy.
He went on to produce an album for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Press and Media coverage would follow. It started in the late 70's and hasn't stopped. Soon, he was producing several artists and bands in every genre. It wasn't long before he took pride in seeing the artists he worked with hitting #1 in Europe and the Top 10 in the USA and Canada. Later, not only was Randy producing but he was asked to assist in the executive producer position for several award shows and as the musical director for numerous concert series.
Randy is also a prominent songwriter. Some of his artists have placed his works in the Top 10 all over the world. His artists have received nominations at some of Canada's most prestigious award shows. His work is not going unnoticed. Some of the biggest names in show biz have tapped into the "buzz" around Randy. In particular, Chuck Williams (Loretta Lynn, Carol Baker etc.) and Gino Empry (Paul Anka, Merle Haggard, Roy Orbison etc.)
Critics around the world rate his work as 4 and 5 star ratings. That is probably because Randy knows how to get the best out of people. He works with the top musicians and alongside some of the most prominent people in the industry. People like Bob Doidge who produced such acts as Prarie Oyster and Gordon Lightfoot. He works out of some of the best studios Canada has to offer including the famous Grant Avenue studio, which was started by the legendary Daniel Lanois of U2 fame. Randy also uses Heritage Studio in Burlington, renown for its engineer, Steve Ashley (E.L.O, Suzie Quatro, Thin Lizzy, Rick Tippe etc) and his masterful use of pro-tools.
Clients rave about his brilliance as a record producer, his outstanding professionalism and leaving all that aside, his genuine persona. Since 1999 Randy has been on the first round of nominations for the Juno awards as producer of the year many times. At this time, Randy has begun writing and producing for film and television and his roster of high profile clients is beginning to take form. Most recently Randy worked with actor Jim Carrey’s family on their debut CD as well as pop star Christina Aguilera’s aunt from Chicago on her new project.
He has a great dedication to his craft and his clients. It is about time the industry is taking notice of his extraordinary talents.
